I used to work in the hotel industry and I was a General Manager at the time I began my business. I wanted to earn extra money without having to be tied down to a part time job. I also wanted to embark on a career change that would help enhance the quality of life for my family. And most importantly I wanted to help other people. I had been a loyal Mary Kay customer for many years and had been asked in the past if I would consider becoming a consultant. At the time I wasn't ready to listen.
