Perfect World Network Radio

This was scheduled to be the last broadcast of 2013, on Christmas Day, but technical glitches far beyond my control or that of any of my colleagues prevented that from happening. But it’s such a good show that I’m airing it this week. It’s going to be a Christmas classic, you’ll see.  I had just done something I almost never do. I had forwarded a mass email. It contained a link to the most amazing and wonderful version of The Twelve Days of Christmas I have ever heard. It was by the a cappella group, Straight No Chaser, originally from Indiana University. Inspired by that, and by the fact that I did not have much voice at the time due to a sinus infection, I decided to prerecord a show filled with other wonderful variations on well-known Christmas songs. Mannheim Steamroller was the first that I'm aware of to give us a completely fresh take on one of them – I think it was Deck The Halls – so that is in the show.
