This is America, and we LOVE ourselves some celebrities! We have entire NETWORKS that are dedicated to knowing every move our famous people make. What they eat, when their next project is coming, what their kids are doing, did they go to jail, did they loose/gain weight and more. Our fascination with everything celebrity is sometimes just sickening. For instance at the recent VMA awards we learned that BEYONCE was pregnant...and that was absolutely THE most talked about thing on my FB and TWITTER for 2 days straight. If a star like Michael Jackson dies tragically it will clog up the MAJOR and LOCAL news for weeks. But why do we care!? What is it about the stars that we find irresistible? This country loves DRAMA but I hardly feel that someone getting pregnant from their husband would be considered as such. But still we want to know EVERY detail...and then we pay big bucks just for a few snapshots of it all!  But maybe its because they are living a life a lot of us secretly or even openly want to live.
