There is a code that goes untold in the streets. This code is something that was instilled in many of us as a child, you know "DONT BE A TATTLE TALE" was something even lil white kids were told. But in the black community, it carries well over into adult age, especially in the HOOD. DON'T SNITCH! It's just that simple ya dig. If you see someone do something that is against the law, you don't tell the police. The rule is simple, yet complicated at the same time ya dig. Because this rule is SUPPOSED to be in effect if you are involved in illegal activity, and it is SUPPOSED to come with a punishment of some sort if it's broken. The PROBLEM with the STOP SNITCHING rule and campaign is this: IT SEEMS TO ONLY BE UPHELD WHEN IT DOESN'T INVOLVE YOU GOING TO JAIL!! You see as much as people want to "keep it real" you never really know whether you are the "SNITCH" type until some REAL PRESSURE is on your back.
