The CIVIL RIGHTS movement could NEVER happen in this day and time. Not because if left unchecked the powers that be wouldn't have kept things how they were, but because this generation of black people just don't give a damn enough to make it happen. It's astounding just how apathetic some black people are about politics, especially voting. The nomination and election of OBAMA was a shot of adrenaline for us, like a quick revival in politics, but it wasn't actually a political surgery of sorts to permanently repair the apathetic black voter. With the upcoming elections in NOVEMBER, I see more and more signs that things need to be ramped up, that the establishment is fighting hard to REVERSE the effects that OBAMA's win had on us. Well people, they are WINNING!
