On this Out of Bounds episode I chat with Derek Caldwell the founder/commissioner of Championship Wrestling Association, The Championship Wrestling Association is the premier professional folkstyle wrestling league in North America. We are creating opportunity for the American people to watch their favorite college wrestlers, in a style that is familiar to them. See wrestlers from your favorite college teams compete in a nine minute (3,3,3; yes you read that right), CWA folkstyle match. We are building something so that the best college wrestlers have the opportunity to compete professionally regardless of whether they are on the World/Olympic team or not. Often times, we have great American wrestlers who do not make a World team and we as fans lose sight of what they are doing on the mat because their story goes by the wayside. With the CWA, we look to keep their stories alive and well in the eyes of the American wrestling fan by giving them the opportunity to compete and be compensated while doing so.
