Fats Domino was married to his wife Rosemary for 60 years.  He started fronting his own band at a local club called the Hideaway when he was 20 yrs old.  He met Dave Bartholomew an established trumpet player who got him signed to Imperial Records. Dave and Fats also so-wrote some of Fats’ major hits such as “Ain’t That a Shame”, “Blue Monday” and others. When Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005 the people thought that Fats had not survived.  No one could find him when the hurricane ended and rumors grew that he was dead.  The last reports they had of any one seeing him was at his home when the hurricane was in full force.
