Actor Robert Sheehan narrates Wilde Stories, a creative re-imagining of Oscar Wilde through the prism of his fairytales 'The Happy Prince and Other Stories'. This five part series brings together Irish artists and actors to celebrate and explore the work and life of Oscar Wilde and features an interview with Wilde's grandson Merlin Holland. Episode 1 brings us 'The Happy Prince', a story of a statue whose leaden heart breaks for the poverty and distress of the city he stands above read by Robert Sheehan. This episode features a new composition 'A Hidden Delight' by young Irish composer Michael Gallen, featuring choir and orchestra, inspired by the story of The Happy Prince and is performed by the RTÉ Concert Orchestra and RTÉ Cór na nÓg.
