Author of Sacred Stories: Wisdom from World Religions, Marilyn McFarlane and I will discuss how in this world filled with religious strife and mistrust, we might shift toward interfaith tolerance and acceptance and beyond that to welcoming a diversity of beliefs.  Religious literacy is another topic for our chat and how important it is to really educate ourselves about the beliefs that have shaped history and will shape tomorrow.  We'll delve into why Native American and Sacred Earth part of the Sacred Stories, how we can teach our kids respect for different beliefs while teaching them our own values, and how we might reach common ground so we can create nourishing and sustainable community.
