Sinopsis
WARNING: This week's show contains mature content and language that might not be acceptable for children! Jenny Runacre presents #LondonArts - the show with its finger on London’s cultural pulse on Zone 1 Radio - the community radio station for Central London. This week's theme is The American Dream, but what does that really mean? Jenny dives into myths, stereotypes and idealisms to question and dig into the American Dream. This week she's going to be reviewing Heathcote Williams' latest poetry book "American Porn," which puts America, and the whole world really, on the hot seat, with scathing poems discussing current events. Mariel Cariker speaks with Adrian Locke, the senior curator of temporary exhibitions at the Royal Academy of Arts, about "America after the Fall," an exhibition depicting the rise and fall of the American dream in the 1930s. Music this week features songs about America and the passing of time, with songs from Lana Del Rey, Khalid, Leon Bridges, HAIM and Bruce Springsteen. -- www.twitte
