The small routines and habits that combine into the overall system of our life is what makes our goals into reality.  Most people start the process of change by thinking about the outcomes they want to accomplish. How much weight do I want to lose? How much money do I want to earn? But I think it is often more useful to focus on the type of person you wish to become: your identity that will have you achieve your desired outcome. The way to change outcomes is to focus on identity changes; so it’s not about eating less, or eating more healthy, as a behavior—but rather that you are now the type of person who eats better.
