Sinopsis

Tue Aug 23, 2011 Mister Ron's Basement No. 1983 Sometimes we discover great, almost totally forgotten humorists here in The Basement. We have found some of the funny stories of Prentice Mulford. Mulford is much more well known today as the founder of the Modern Thought Movement, but from the 1860s until 1891, he made his living writing wildly popular humorous stories. Today’s 1877 tale concerns a sterling example of deductive police work - - It is called ‘A Daring Capture.’ Time: approx eight minutes The Mister Ron's Basement Catalog can be found at: http://ronevry.com/Mister_Rons_Full_Catalog.html The Index of Prentice Mulford stories is located at: http://ronevry.com/prenticemulford.html *There is a nifty interview with Mister Ron in issue #59 iProng Magazine (now known as Beatweek Magazine) which can be downloaded at a new URL as a free pdf file here.  *John Kelly of The Washington Post has written a lively piece about the Basement.
