We have pressure from banks to buy CD’s & annuities, our stock brokers swear by equities because they tell us that they “produce something” while criticizing precious metals based assets for not producing anything. We hear Dave Ramsey telling us to become debt free and build a portfolio in stocks and mutual funds. We trip over the most deceptive “investment” salesman of all in insurance reps pushing us into Annuities and crazy life insurance schemes masked under a huge variety of of other names that are unregulated and always end in tremendous losses through surrender fees and and insurance premiums that consume our money in whole.
