Georgian Bay Roots

In celebration of the little festival that could, and was: Summerfolk 46. Since it was impossible to catch all the acts, at all the venues, here's a handy sampler of a few of the great sounds the Georgian Bay Folk Society brought to Owen Sound this year. Travel by ear around the world with Jaffa Road, Moskitto Bar, Okan and Quique Escamilla. Revel in the shimmering guitars of Tony McManus & Julia Toaspern, the heavy riffs of Terra Lightfoot and the deep groove of Ray Bonneville. Rock out with The Skydiggers, get down with the bluegrass of the Slocan Ramblers, surround yourself in the voices of Crystal Shawanda and Evangeline Gentle. And from Kurt Swinghammer, a real special cut called 'Owen Sound'. These artists performed all over the scenic city for one weekend, and for one hour only they're all together on this episode of Georgian Bay Roots!
