I ran to grab the microphone. BlakeX and I were deep in our conversation about music. Hot morning beverages were still hot, our energy was still settling into the studio after busy mornings finding our way into this creative cocoon. I realized that we were starting to talk about some really interesting topics regarding songwriting techniques and the themes of what we were excited to sing about. This is a recording of the conversation we had before we picked up any instruments to write the song of the day. This conversation completely shaped the song from scratch. This is the real life moment that birthed this vision that became our song "God's Replay". This song is capturing the essence of the four seasons and it takes you on a two year journey -- through the seasons twice. Creating something quickly and simply totally counts as creation.
