"Why Your Lies Serve As Pain Killers."

Sinopsis

You can begin to learn how lying was used as a traumatic response.  We only lie when it feels unsafe, to tell the truth.  In some cases, lying is the only way to avoid experiencing shame, dysregulation, or other unpleasant emotions if we tell the truth.    When I was a child, my father labeled me a snitch.  I was told I was fine when I wasn't, that everything was fine, that I just needed to get over it, that it didn't matter, that I didn't matter and that I had to get through it.  But my question to you is, who are you without your lies, suffering and pain?  Who are you if you didn't live or feel the desire to avoid pain? What possibilities would be available?
