Welcome to (the Movies N Shit special commentary episode of the classic action spectacle) The Rock!  Join us for Kelly’s favorite — time travel — as we journey back to 1996: a simpler time when big, tent-pole action flicks had (almost) no CGI.  Seem crazy?  Not as crazy as an incursion under water to retake an impregnable fortress held by an elite team of US Marines in possession of 81 hostages and 15 guided rockets armed with VX poison gas.  All that plus Sean Connery, Nicolas Cage and Ed Harris each delivering a performance worthy of getting to go home and f*ck the prom queen.  This is how action movies were meant to be made.  And this is how The Rock was meant to be seen — with Patrick and Kelly talking over it.
