Ali Duarte -Garcia , MD, is a physician-scientist in the Division of Rheumatology at Mayo Clinic, Dr Duarte specializes in the treatment of patients with systemic lupus erythematous (SLE) and established the Mayo Clinic Lupus Clinic. He uses large databases to investigate SLE-comorbidities and their impaction outcomes. he is also interested in the quality and evidence foundation of the clinical practice guidelines used in Rheumatology. Dr. Duarte-Garcia is a Kern Scholar in the Mayo Clinic Robert D. and Patricia E. Kern Center for Science of Health Care Delivery. hHe received his MD from the universidad Autonoma De Chihuahua, Mexico, and completed clinical training at Tufts Medical Center and MayoClinic.
