SHY 70: A medical and nutrition volunteer project in Fiji

If you’ve been following me for a while on social media, you may have noticed that I take off to Fiji 4 times a year to work on a nutrition project. You see, when I’m not sorting out women with adrenal fatigue and pyrrole disorder in my clinic and through my online program, I moonlight at the Fiji Nutrition Coordinator for Involvement Volunteers International (also known as IVI). IVI are a charity organisation based on the Gold Coast, sending volunteers to communities all round the world, including the Pacific Islands, Bali, Philippines, Greece, India and Nepal. In this episode, follow me to Fiji where we conduct over 800 health checks on local resort workers, villages, and communities in need. Fiji has just been named the top country in the world for Type 2 diabetes, an honour that no one ever wants to receive. So there’s lots of work to do to help these people become healthier!
