Sinopsis

Spoken word poet, publicist, educator, and artist Amanda Shea returns to the Turntable Teachers for her sophomore episode! Mike and Amanda have a deep and powerfully spiritual conversation on coping with trauma and hardship, and how that ultimately affects not only the art we create, but our attitudes toward art itself. They also discuss what Amanda has been up to since she was last on the show a year and a half ago, including touring the country performing and hosting workshops at institutions such as MIT, Berklee College, and Emerson College. She also dropped her latest single "Navah Conversations" and has an upcoming EP, and played a pivotal role in the critically acclaimed Boston play, Come to Pass. During Pop Quiz, Mike also inquires about Amanda's love for rollerskating and plants, and brings up a past gem from her previous episode.
