Genuine By Nolan And Clayton

In this episode Elijah and Aaron go over there plans of what they want to do with Genuine for the rest of the year. Whats addressed in this though is that this maybe the last episode that these to do. With COVID-19 closing down all interaction they can't meet up and with record with each other and guests. Hopefully That's not true but if it is on behalf of the boys thank you for listening in.

The boys ask Jonna about the transition between Germany and American school life as well as her first thought about it and what she thinks now. They also ask her what her normal day in Germany is like. On a side note Elijah's mic didn't pick up his audio so you'll have to listen in real close to make sure you can hear everything. 

On this episode of Genuine the guys are visited by special guest Hannah Harper. Hannah is here to be their S.O.S (significant other specialist), to help replace the former love doctors Clayton and Nolan. The main theme of this episode is to catch her perspective behind Valentines Day and relationships in general. It gets a little side tracked towards the end, but it's all fun for these three in this special. 

This week our new hosts Aaron and Elijah start of the first half with talking about what their plans are for Genuine and talk about their thoughts about being in charge of it. This week the guys take a trip down their own histories, leading up to where they are now. Nolan and Clayton submit themselves to the questioning that their guests have felt in the past. This week Nolan and Clayton are joined by Travis Bennett, a young student focused on breaking down some social walls of his own. Travis hails from the Renaissance Academy and is guest starring in an effort to battle the misconceptions of the River Falls school. Join the three of them as they dissect art, stereotypes, and the actual podcast itself, and get to learn a little more about Travis as a person.

This week, Nolan and Clayton dig into the high school experience as a whole. After a brief explanation about their quarrels with the school, the guys break down their time at RFHS year by year. Towards the end the guys get a little distracted talking about college and the future, but bring it back to a topic that is very important. Join the guys in being a part of a community that helps fight for a good cause, together. Nolan and Clayton have been asked to be a part of the River Falls day-long music concert benefit created by two other students. The goal of the day is to raise money for three students in the community fighting cancer, and also to bring the community into one fun atmosphere. Thank you for being here.

This week... Nolan and Clayton sit down with Mrs. Debra Ottman, one half of the school's family and consumer science team. Mrs. Ottman was actually the one who pushed Nolan and Clayton to start their podcast, and the guys were interested in learning more about her. The first half consists of learning more about Mrs. Ottman's personal life growing up and her choices she made during important periods of her life. In the second half the trio dig into some more intimate details about the school life and each other, and the guys even get the interview reversed on them for a bit. The boys are back with what is probably the least official way of entering their second season, but it does represent the show correctly. The guys talk about what events have personally transpired since their last moments alone on the show. Clayton and Nolan discuss the future of the show with the new mangled schedule as well. Also, live on air, Clayton commits to college at Marymount Manhattan, and Nolan proudly announces that his prom group now represents the River Falls School District banner on Facebook. This week is a special week! With a surprise visit, Nolan and Clayton were able to sneak student Morgan Lee into the school for the first episode of their new season! Morgan is a senior at RFHS who ran into some problems with the law his junior year. Morgan has been attending Teen Challenge near the cities, and he plans to graduate with all his friends back at the High School. On this episode Nolan and Clayton welcome Heidi Marg to the studio. Heidi is a junior at RFHS and is excited to join the guys to talk about life and religion. The first half focuses mainly on Heidi as a person and includes a fun back and forth about Prom season and how Clayton and Heidi will pay for their tickets. More info is learned about Nolan's date for Prom as well. In the back half of the episode Heidi and Nolan take the lead in discussing their faith and how it has been intertwined into their lives so far, as well as how it will affect their future. Overall, the vibe is lighthearted and friendly this week.

Nolan and Clayton are joined by RFHS juniors Aaron Wilber and Elijah Arneson. The guys chat about roles in the musical this past year and their prospects for next year. After that the guests go in-depth about growing up in their unique situations and how that shaped them as people. After a quick break at halftime the topic shifts to more serious tones. Genuine gets first-hand testimonials on mental illnesses and the effects they have on people and a family. The conversation wraps up after a quick discussion about the school's protocols for mental illness and a short back-and-forth on religion. Apologies for the iffy audio once again, but it's fully functional this week! 

Clayton and Nolan are checking in for a reduced amount of time this week in order to clear up some difficulties and reflect on their month of running the podcast. Updates are given about their snapchat cleanse, and the guys talk some more about the future of GENUINE over the next couple months.
