Rooted Women's Bible Study

In our lesson this week, we see the beauty of God's perfect design both for His Church and for us as His female image-bearers. Cherie Leatherman teaches through 1 Timothy 1:18-2:15 and Paul's instructions for worship. In this week's lesson, we may even have answers to the difficult texts in our passage.   

The gospel of the glory of the blessed God has been entrusted to Paul and he passionately preached this gospel everywhere he went. In 1 Timothy 1:12-17 Paul writes once again of the beauty of this precious gospel.  Teacher: Kristi Wile

In these first few verses of 1 Timothy, Paul charges Timothy to 1) confront certain persons who are teaching false doctrine and 2) teach what accords with true doctrine and the gospel of the glory of God.

Kristi Wile taught about the offices of Judge, Priest, King, and Prophet and how they point us to Jesus.

This week Cherié Leatherman teaches about positional holiness and progressive holiness as we look at Deuteronomy 14:1-16:17.

Cherié Leatherman teaches on the seriousness of idolatry.

Cheré Leatherman teaches on the priority and purity of the worship of God.

Kristi Wile introduces us to the book of Deuteronomy.

We concluded this semester of our study of Deuteronomy looking at the requirements of the Lord for His people and motivations for obedience. Cherie Leatherman was our teacher this week. Next semester will begin on January 23, 2023.
