The gates of Vimy Barracks were thrown open to welcome competitors taking part in the Paras 10 - a ten miler which is part of the Parachute Regiment selection test. 32 Engineer Regiment Settle Into Catterick

PTSD Veteran Performs Parachute Jump
03/09/2015 Duración: 03minAn army veteran suffering from post traumatic stress has performed a parachute jump with the Red Devils. John Noble served for two years in Bosnia and developed PTSD following three back-to-back tours in the war-torn country from 1998-2000. John is now receiving treatment from Phoenix House personnel recovery centre. As part of his rehabilitation John threw himself out of a perfectly serviceable plane from 14,000 feet.

A team have been excavating a site at Marne Barracks in Catterick Garrison for Roman remains. Fred Bates was introduced the historical dig through Phoenix House personnel recovery centre. The veteran from the Queens Royal Irish Hussars made some interesting discoveries as he told Chris Kaye.

OA Honours Royal Air Force Junior Officer
12/08/2015 Duración: 03minThe OA has awarded Junior Officer Tom Mallin with the Officers’ Association Trophy. This is an annual prize given to the RAF Officer who has contributed most to charity, or to those less fortunate, while training at the Officer and Aircrew Training Unit. Officer and Cadet Training Unit Adjutant David Mason said Tom epitomised the 'proactive and instinctive attitude' expected of a Royal Air Force Junior Officer, while raising nearly £4000 for a number of different charities. He was the main driving force behind all of the organised charity events, which included cycling the distance covered by the Dambusters raid in support of the Jon Egging Trust and raising funds for the RAF Benevolent Fund. Remembering Captain Allan Buck
28/07/2015 Duración: 03minOne of the longest serving volunteers with the Officers Association has passed away aged 96. Captain Allan Buck was born during the zeppelin raid in London. He became an explosives expert during World War II led and even performed a charity jump from ten thousand feet at the age of 80. One of his closest friends Kerry Noble has been telling Chris Kaye about his military service with the Queen’s Own West Surrys.

Inter-Company Pace Sticking Competition
06/07/2015 Duración: 03minThe Infantry Training Centre in Catterick Garrison has played host to the Inter-Company Pace Sticking Competition. The drill contest pits units from the ITC against each other on the parade square. Participants are judged on turn out, synchronicity, & timing. In the end it was the Prince of Wales company who were declared the overall winners. Captain Graham White, from the School of Ceremonial, is a three time world pace sticking champion and spoke to Chris Kaye.
