Aditi, like Mike Florio, said something feels a little bit different with the Steelers and Mike Tomlin this year in terms of a breakup. Jeff Brohm is the latest college football coach to stay put instead of going to Happy Valley to become the HC at Penn State. Something else Ben Roethlisberger suggested was Mike Tomlin going to Penn State. After Tomlin was asked about coaching at the college level a few years ago, we can say pretty confidently that this won’t happen. Would Tomlin want to do everything that is required to be a college coach? The guys questioned if Tomlin would be as good at recruiting as everyone assumes. He brought up a weak division and the fact that the Penguins don’t look like a team running on smoke & mirrors. Tyler said he doesn’t care what Tristan Jarry does in the regular season because it only matters how he performs in the big games and in the playoffs. TK told the guys he continually hears great things about Dan Muse and the new voice leading the team. TK thinks the players have responded so well to the change at the top.

93.7 The Fan Sports Director Jeff Hathhorn joined the show. Jeff talked about TJ Watt no-showing in a game against a pair of backup tackles. When will the Steelers start to use their TEs? Jeff doesn’t understand why Pat Freiermuth is being frozen out of this offense, but credits him a ton for taking the high-road in chats with the media. The guys noted how Jonnu Smith wasn’t brought up by Aaron Rodgers today in his media session. What happened with the Darius Slay breakup? Jeff talked about what Adam Thielen looked like on his first day, but isn’t sure whose spot he takes in the lineup. Jeff doesn’t think Marquez Valdes-Scantling has gotten much of a true opportunity to show what he has left. Ravens 28, Steelers 17 is Jeff’s prediction for Sunday in Baltimore.
