Talking About Sports

It's the best time of the year. Baseball playoffs. College football. NFL. NBA starting. Apparently, the NHL has started too. Cody and Steve use the bucket-o-topics to rattle off the hot topics in each sport. Upsets. Parity. Favs. Dogs. Stros. Yanks. You name it. Let's all drink red bull and dive in. Cody did. Plus, America is great segments and college picks to save our betting lives. 

Steve went 5-0 in his anchor picks and is now in charge of the podcast. Cody went 1-4 and is now going opposite on picks and opinions about the hot topics in sports this week. Listen to how he responds to Steve's questions about Baseball, College Football and NFL. They unveil their sure-to-be 10-0 anchors together. (or at least 64% since that's our yearly average.) Lastly, they unveil a new series of segments, "America is still great and here's why." They list the reasons that America is great and connect them to sports awards and segments, such as the "Big Gulp of the week" and "Freedom leaders of the week." Cody and Steve defend/explain their College Football Pie Charts for the world to hear. At least it will better inform the outrage on Facebook. They introduce a segment called "2 Legit or About 2 Quit" to talk about the pretenders versus contenders in the NFL and College Football. They review what they nailed in College Football bets and what they screwed up. Then, the anchors, nay missiles, nay warheads for College Football week 4 picks. Time to bet that straight cash homie money.

Playing with the best player in the world, getting more shots, winning a ring, and being the Finals must be really tiring. The boys also unveil the 32-moment bracket of all the iconic sports moments of our lifetime. They run through each battle and determine most, but left 3 to your vote. First, Cody compares Lonzo Ball's dad to Zeke Elliot's dad and asks Steve how he plans to handle fatherhood with a kid who might like sports. Then, the boys list the most iconic moments that happened during their lifetime by challenging each other to guess what they are with 5 words or less. The result is a list of 40, which will be put on Facebook for you, the listener, to vote on which ones you agree with. And that's what inspired our new segment, "be nice or shut up" where Steve and Cody go back and forth, mentioning names of hated or disliked athletes and force one another to say something nice. That and we touch on the Serena comments, Cody Bellinger, Tebow, Vince Young and Durant's Cupcake actions. Great time to be back!
