Making his second appearance on Final Round Radio, Travis Chumley of team Prodigy joins Andy, Pat and Dave in the Final Round Radio East studios.  Chumley is a member of the UNC Charlotte disc golf team, so we talk about how the team is doing in its final push towards Nationals. Chumley also discusses his back injury that he's recovered from, his struggles with putting, and what tournaments he plans on playing in 2017. We also talk about the return of Josh Anthon and what it means for disc golf, unpopular discs, widening the 10 meter circle and whether or not to put a limit on the number of discs you can carry in PDGA tournaments.

In Episode 70, Andy Goh and Pat Bowles of Final Round Radio East sit down with Innova Team Star member Nate Sexton in the official touring RV of Nate and Paul McBeth. Nate, who is always a good interview, speaks about the start of the 2017 season, the rigors of touring and what tournaments he's looking forward to. In the first half of the episode, Andy, Pat and Big Wave Dave talk recap the Gentlemen's Club Challenge and the Memorial, as well as all the North Carolina disc golf action. We also discuss marijuana use in PDGA events (or the lack thereof), use of grip materials and friction gloves, the potential of standardized scoring in the Par 4. Finally we also briefly discuss the new PDGA Tour director Joe Chargualaf.

In Episode 66, we return to Charlotte with Pat Bowles and Andy Goh of Final Round Radio East, while Big Wave Dave is on assignment for Innova. We make up for his absence by bringing Austin Fisher and Kyle Hogan on to the hot seat. Austin and Kyle have been known in the Charlotte disc golf scene for years as deeply committed and passionate players, and now they've teamed up to form Disc Golf Ventures, an events and promotion organization that helps grow the game through tournaments organization, events like putting league and visibility. This is Austin's first year touring full time for disc golf so we talk about what his mindset is going into 2017.  This is also the first episode of FRR East with "Big Wave" Dave George and Pat Bowles joining Andy Goh as co-hosts. They take on the lead card with a ton of knowledge as we break down the Australian Open. Finally, there's also a moment at the 1:07:00 mark that none of us expected that almost threw us off our game a bit.

We've got big news for you: Final Round Radio is going on the road! Well at least KB is. With Winn Seltzer and Philo Brathwaite. You read that right, KB is going to be touring the country in an RV in 2017 with a Charlotte disc golfer and one of the top touring pros on the circuit. That means that we've got some shoes to fill here in the Queen City.  That's where former Final Round Radio guests "Big Wave" Dave George and Pat "PDB" Bowles come in. They're going to be stepping in for KB as co-hosts (along with Andy Goh) for Final Round Radio East. Kevin "K Squared" Keith will also be working the Texas audience with FRR Central recording in Dallas, TX, so that makes three different (but similar) versions of Final Round Radio that will be coming to you in 2017. Today we debut a new version of Final Round Radio! Our partner Kevin Keith (or K Squared as we like to call him back in Charlotte) has moved to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, and is teaming up with Casey Wright of Innova discs to bring you Final Round Radio Central.  We're very proud to be able to bring you news and coverage from the central part of the country, home to a thriving disc golf scene. We'll be releasing FRRC episode on the weeks that the Charlotte crew isn't recording, so hopefully we have a new episode for you each and every week. Our hope is that we can expand our coverage of all things disc golf, giving voice to a new audience. This is the pilot episode of FRRC, so please bear with us as we work out all the recording and production. As always, we appreciate you listening to Final Round Radio and will be working hard to make this the best podcast in disc golf.
