For All You Kids Out There

In Episode 133 of For All You Kids Out There, there is actually some crumbs of offseason Mets news which we use to fill (checks watch) three hours of podcasting time. In the first half of the show we look at BVW's first week on the job, take a deep dive into what the Mets can do from an analytic standpoint, discuss the front office, coaching, and 40-man shake up, and wonder if there is a roster spot for Peter Alonso. In the second half of the show we target spots on the roster for the Mets offseason, but mostly just try to convince them to sign Manny Machado. In the third half of the show, we answer your correspondence and talk about UFC 230, PRIDE never die, and Crown Jewel.

In Episode 132 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey has a new GM to talk about for the first time in his podcasting history...and it's uh not who he expected. Jarrett has his own concerns about Brodie Van Wagenen so we discuss the upside and pitfalls here. In the second half of the show it's more Van Wagenen chat with our good friend Kate Morrison, until we bore her when we get distracted by the Mets 40-man roster. In Episode 131 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett chat about another week in Mets GM searching. Dave Littlefield we hardly knew ye, but why the heck were you here in the first place? Jarrett has some thoughts on agent conflict of interest too. Next, we bring on #1 Dodgers fan (even though they are his second favorite team) Craig Goldstein to discuss NLCS Game 7, the upcoming World Series, Blake Bortles, and Josh James (among other topics). Finally we wrap things up with ordinal rankings of Wade, some JV1 talk, and some MMA musings.

In Episode 130 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey is already into the weeds in list season and is going a little loopy, and then gets a little angry. Jarrett is somehow the calm one this week? (well, not really) Meg Rowley is here to talk about various Wades, the playoffs, and The Good Place among a dozen other things (and Jeffrey does not slander Marlins Man as it turns out). It's a tight 69-minute second-half folks, before we wrap up with some bowling advice and some secret WiFi scooping. 

In Episode 129 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett check in with everyone's favorite Role 6 and everyone's favorite globetrotting Mets roomies, before launching into a discussion of the Mets GM search. In the second half of the show, Nick Stellini of BP and The Athletic joins us to chat about the playoffs so far and Rob Lowe's acting career. In the third half of the show we answer your emails on Daniel Murphy, Lucha Libre, and try to make sense of the chaos at UFC 229.

In Episode 128 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett bid adieu to David Wright and the rest of the 2018 Mets. We chat about John Vanderslice, David Wright's sendoff, Jeff Wilpon's presser, and the upcoming MLB playoffs in the first half of the show. In the second half, we spend some time discussing every Met on their 2018 Baseball-Reference page. And in the third half of the show we answer questions about Bryce Harper, and Jacob deGrom's Hall of Fame chances.

In Episode 127 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett chat about the Cy Young race, the GM situation, and the bullpen, when they're not getting distracted by the usual other stuff. In the second half of the show we chat with Freelancin' Craig Goldstein about his two favorite teams (and also the Orioles for some reason), and wrap things up with some pro wrestling and MMA chat.

In Episode 126 of For All You Kids Out There...well, at least we got Jarrett to take one week off. He is back along with Deadspin's David Roth to discuss David Wright, Mets ownership, and eventually, inevitably Patrick Kivlehan's New Jersey High School football career. We also answer your correspondence, sort of. That last bit may just have devolved into our discussing Jeff McNeil without actually answering the question.

In Episode 124 of For All You Kids Out There, Jarrett and Jeffrey discuss the recent Mets moves (non-moves) that are annoying us this week, and then spend a long time recapping All In. We'll see you in a couple weeks probably.

In Episode 123 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett dive in deep on Franklyn Kilome and touch on some other Bingo prospects (there aren't many) before dissecting Zack Wheeler's second half and what the Mets should do with him going forward. In the second half of the show we are joined by Amazin' Avenue's Greg Karam to chat about David Wright's possible return to the Mets. And in the third half of the show we answer your correspondence and briefly preview All In. Don't worry, there will be a lot more All In next week, likely with an appropriate Sufjan-Stevens-referencing episode title.

In Episode 121 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey is back from Tennessee, somehow got six games in six days, and has thoughts on Shervyen Newton and stuff. Jarrett has thoughts on Jeff McNeil and his place on the 20-80 scale. We both are confused by the Mets 25-man roster moves and their insistence on a six-man rotation, but are pleased by the return of David Wright to baseball activities, sort of. In the second half of the show, we do the thirty-minute version of our ten-minute SaberSeminar presentation. And in the third half of the show we talk about the G1 Climax.

In Episode 120 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett discuss the Asdrubal Cabrera for Franklyn Kilome deal and what else the Mets might do at the deadline (Spoiler alert: Nothing). Then we are joined by Craig Goldstein to recap the the July 31st deals writ large, and to confound Jeffrey with a simple question: Who is in the Angels starting rotation? Finally we wrap things up with your emails and a fairly hefty pro wrestling segment. 

In Episode 119 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett break down the process and outcome of the Jeurys Familia deal, moan about the Mets handling of injuries (again), and worry about Cespedes' heel woes (not a wrestling segment although there is a wrestling segment later). This is one of our shorter podcasts but may feature the longest "The Metsssss" on record.

In episode 118 of For All You Kids Out There, Jeffrey and Jarrett discussing the brewing storm between the Mets brass and Brodie Van Waganen w/r/t Jacob deGrom's future. Then we chat about the Manny Machado trade which may have already happened by the time you are listening, and try and figure out if the Mets can deal Zack Wheeler. Then we answer questions about Complex-League baseball and the Mets 2020 roster.

In Episode 117 of For All You Kids Out There, the only news worth talking about is a Wade LeBlanc contract extension so talk about it we shall with David Roth of Deadspin. We do also chat about Jenrry Mejia's return from suspension, famous Hampshire College graduates, and David's encounters with semi-famous Law & Order recurring characters in airports. You know the usual. We are not done with Wade LeBlanc chat, oh no. In the second half of the show we bring on Meg Rowley to delve further into all things Wade, consider the current state of the Mariners, and apparently help Meg make her SaberSeminar travel plans. Then in the third half of the show we answer you correspondence and talk about all the recent pro wrestling and MMA news. As we do.
