Arnie of the Region Free Gamers podcast joins the show to pontificate with us about one of the most fondly-remembered JRPGs of the 16-bit era. It was only a matter of months ago when Chris decided to record a bonus episode, part of our typically Patron-exclusive RHGaiden series, with Patrons and friends of the show Adam of The Good, The Bad, & The Backlog podcast and Riku. It was mere days ago that we learned of Riku's sudden passing. Though this episode was meant to be put out at later date, we felt it only right to release it now, in his honor and memory. This one is for you, Riku; may it be a testament to your relentless passion and enthusiasm for gaming and all who enjoy it.

With the release of New Pokémon Snap for the Nintendo Switch, it only seems right that we hearken back to the original N64 title that started it all. It sure wasn't what Poké-fans were expecting at the time, but the feel-good photo romp soon became a beloved entry into the Pokéverse. Final Fantasy month continues with the grandfather of them all: the original Final Fantasy for the NES / Famicom! Patron Lyle joins us once again to discuss this roleplaying milestone and whether it's one worth going back to decades later. Note: Unfortunately, Chris experienced some technical issues with his microphone during this recording that we did not catch until after the fact, so the audio quality may not be up to our usual standard.
