Where do I even start? Trying to sum up these 5 verses and our 30-minute conversation into one paragraph proves to me to be a challenge this week! So, here's to the challenge of 5 sentences. Do not be discouraged by these verses. Our "woman of wisdom" was so much more than a doer. Let me put it this way -- each of us will live out our version of wisdom, and though we all can use Proverbs 31 as a model, our actions will all look different. However, the spirit of demonstration should be about the same. For it is the spirit of wisdom that should shine out of us all and onto the lives of those we influence. She, this woman of wisdom, is merely a guide, an inspiration, an encouragement of how things can and should be for each of us and that at the end of the journey our heavenly father will praise us all. Proverbs 17:22 says “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” God tells us in His Word that not only is a cheerful heart good for you, it is like medicine…good medicine.
