Mary, the mother of the one true King! What an amazing task to be chosen by God the mother the Son of Man…to give birth to Him as well as raise Him for God’s will.  Can you imagine raising your son knowing that He will one day give His life so that others might live? One would think this women to be of noble blood (which Mary was coming from the line of King David but all nobility had been lost in the years since David’s rule), she would be educated, well to-do, somebody. But instead, God chose a peasant girl whom not much is knows of. She lived in the poor and nothing town of Nazareth and was young…very young. But the one thing that Mary did have that was measured above all else was her willingness. She was willing to be chosen to do God’s will even when it meant she might loser her upcoming marriage and reputation. She was willing even though she had nothing to really offer this King.  She was willing even though she was young and had not even really experienced life.   How about you? Are you willing? This

In July 2013, Noelle Moore lived every parent’s worst nightmare. She arrived at the hospital to give birth—to her first child, a little girl named Finley—and a few days later, left with only her husband. Their daughter would never come home with them. As the doctors removed the tube from her daughter’s nose and the IV drip from her foot, Finley’s brief life came to an end. In the months that followed, Moore’s family and friends provided her with emotional support. Sarah, whose name means "princess," was mother of many kings. How interesting that she alone only bore 1 child, and yet, God promised Abraham to the be the "Father of many nations" making her the mother of many of those nations. But Hagar, her maidservant, would also be the mother of many nations. Why? Because of something I think every single one of use women can relate to...Sarah took matters into her own hands. She didn't believe she would ever have a child and thought Hagar could be the answer giving her to Abraham to have a child. And though she was loyal to Abraham, she compromised her purity by agreeing to be his sister instead of his wife not once but twice! Again, I think every woman can relate to a time in her life when she did not stand up for truth either out of fear, lack of courage, or just plain apathy. AND YET (I love those 2 words because it feels like something exciting is about to happen) God redeemed her each and every time that she did not trust in Him to work His

Questions of faith especially from young children can be so cute like one a nephew of Sara's recently asked "Will there be Disney World in Heaven?" But as adults, unanswered questions can sometimes rock our faith. Take confidence in knowing though, that our Lord's plans protect us even when we don't know the answers.
