It's all Nintendo Direct talk today... and bears... and spiders... BUT MOSTLY ALL DIRECT.

Sonic 2 officially announced. Means this pandemic might be bookended by video game movies. Last of Us 2 has Craig Mazin as its writer which is promising news and as we recorded this Pedro Pascal was announced as playing Joel - something both Matt and I think is a great move. Yep, this episode is all about the video game movies (and Tv series) that are coming soon and updates both promising and upsetting.

We start off strong with laser tag, shitty human behavior, debate on the use of nuclear energy and then move into gaming mysteries with a segue as subtle as a brick to the face. If you hear children screaming... Well... keep it to yourself. :P   Shine on doods!

Last week, before the madness of the stonks - there was an equally mad event. Microsoft doubled the price of its Gold Membership. It... didn't go well. Also we talk about Gamestop's meteoric climb in the stock market. Neither of us are experts, so take our thoughts here with a big ol' grain of SAHLT.

Today we speculate about Resident Evil day and the news it holds as a lead into the real topic Simping. Also, I start a deeply one-sided feud with some wholesome man puppet named Arlo. A line has been drawn.   Shine on!

The Harry Potter RPG got pushed back... I think a lot of games are side eyed staring at Cyberpunk and now they wanna push their games back and maybe cancel last gen versions. Don't even blame them, but it does beg the question... What other 2021 games will be pushed back to next year?

This episode is all about the games we wish we would have played when they came out. We plan to correct these mistakes this year!

Slow news week so we get to do an evergreen topic. Having fun talking about timeless art styles we love, and calling out a couple recent games we think will age well.   Shine on!

It's a long title. Basically, we are trying to predict which game or games came out this year that will be influential/will be included on a games of the decade list in 2029.   Internet was not terribly reliable for this one due to very high winds and so there is some distortion on my side of the conversation which is weird. Sorry.

Next Gen has launched - Matt has some hands on time, and gives us some insight into whether it's worth the money to get one right now. Also, which controller is better, which performs better side by side. And of course... Does it do 60fps all the damn time like we deserve!?
