2.28 [TEACHING] We Are Not Always Heroes (wk 1): Cain
27/02/2021 Duración: 25minJason Miller - It’s inspiring to look to the heroes of Scripture and imagine what we might have in common with them. But what about the villains? When we see characters in these stories who rebel against God, who work against love, who resist the truth, or who participate in injustice, should we stand at a distance and judge them? Or could we identify with them? And if so, could we learn to leave some bad patterns behind and get on with the way of living that Jesus calls us to? This week, we consider Cain, the first mention of "sin" in Scripture, and the problems we face when someone else has the blessing.

11.22 [TEACHING] Praying the Psalms (Ps 30)
22/11/2020 Duración: 25minJason Miller - Through the centuries, the Church has regularly returned to the songs and prayers of the Psalms not just to express how we feel but to let ourselves be moved by the perspectives and experiences of others in their pursuit of God. In this series, we will consider and pray through a Psalm each week to see how it forms us. This week, we consider a Psalm of Thanksgiving: Psalm 30. What are the moments you feel stuck in, and what are the before-and-after stories you’ve already lived through? And what do those stories reveal?
