Only the Word of God is the bedrock on which we should base our lives. One of the most often-argued theological concepts is the role of God's election and man's free will in determining who will go to heaven. Some people go to one extreme of claiming that man's free will has no role and that if God choosed you to be saved, you will be saved. Another group claims it is all about the free will of man and that God's calling has nothing to do with it. However, the fact is that Scripture teaches both the choice or election of God and the free will of man have a part in salvation. Pastor Robert Rohlin on the Sunday before Thanksgiving preaches a somewhat-unorthodox sermon on Thanksgiving. He focuses in on the meaning in Numbers 11:1 where God judges the sin of complaining. There are a lot of words for that sin: murmuring, whining, griping, belly-aching, being a sore-head. Basically complaining is a sin for 3 reasons which Pastor Rohlin explains.
