Yivvits And Mrbubble!

Yivvits and MrBubble took part in a podcasting discussion panel at SOE's Fan Faire 2008!

The ribbon banners are posted outside of the Theed Palace and that can only mean one thing, a new episode of SWGwYaMB! One question has been on everybody's mind lately: Is there going to be another Star Wars MMORPG? We call our pal Brent, host of the VirginWorlds podcast (www.virginworlds.com), to see what he thinks. (On a side note, he was right! Let this episode serve as a testament to his wisdom of the MMORPG world.) We also talk about some exciting things coming to SWG - the in-game browser and voice chat, big changes for munitions traders, and of course the recently announced SWG virtual trading card game, Champions of the Force!

Hey, look at this! It's another episode of Star Wars Galaxies with Yivvits and MrBubble! The longest running, best produced, most ribbon filled podcast focusing on Star Wars and SWG! MrBubble has been volunteering at the Minnesota Science Museum and recently had the chance to meet Anthony Daniels. Of course, being a fine ambassador for our state MrBubble just had to go and offend poor Mr. Daniels. Never trust a Sullustan to do a Wookiee's job. Also in this episode, a former SWG developer has been trying to set the story straight about the now legendary NGE. We'll take a look at what he has to say and talk to a couple of listeners to hear what they think. Finally, just who IS Alan anyway?

Hello friends! June has arrived and with it another fine episode of everybody's favorite podcast, The Hello Kitty Kast... oh wait wrong game /wink. No, it's your pals Yivvits and MrBubble! One of our callers in Episode 95 asked if Wookiees might become a mountable species (like a bantha or a swoop). This perked up Yoda's ears so we thought we'd better give that player a call this week. We continue to discuss the growing server population issue (no pun intended) and MrBubble checks out another server. Don't forget, we want to have some of YOU on our show! Listen for all the details. Rejoice, for we once again are taking calls on the air! Yup, that's right, and our guest this week is a player you might remember from a previous episode. (We remember him because he delivers The Holy Food, sometimes referred to as "pizza".) Our pal Jar Jar has never eaten pizza so we try to help him determine what kind of pie to get. We also listen to some voicemails and one in particular catches Yivvits' attention. Finally, we wish our old pal Jason "Gnomish Steamfists Pex" Ryan well as he heads off to support an upcoming SOE title. As a added bonus, we speak out about SOE's decision to discontinue live event support in SWG.

Welcome again to another fine installment of Star Wars Galaxies with Yivvits and MrBubble! Game Update 3 is upon us and even though the focus is on Jedi and bounty hunters it might turn out to be Yivvits' favorite. Why? In this very special episode of SWGwYaMB we share with you what we think Star Wars Galaxies needs the most right now. It'll never really happen, but while recording we felt strangely warmed - there was a sort of electricity in the air. Some may say we were visited by the spirit of Yoda but whatever it was, even if for a fleeting moment, our vision of SWG felt real to us. We hope to share a little bit of that with you, so download and listen!

This episode starts out with a continuation of our AFK play discussion. To Yivvits' surprise, MrBubble has redefined his stance on decay. Wonders never cease! After talking about some of the entertainer changes in Game Update 2 MrBubble has added additional storage droids to his data pad in order to store all the new ribbons he'll be crafting. We wrap things up with voice mail and a dialogue about what we believe to be SWG's biggest enemy right now. Believe it or not, we don't think it is a lack of content or empty servers.

Oh dear, oh dear... Apparently, Yivvits forgot to take his anti-rant medication and wouldn't you know it, the subjects of AFK play and decay pop up. MrBubble defuses the situation and we end up having a interesting discussion on those subjects. Some new entertainer stuff is coming in Game Update 2 and this has MrBubble waving ribbons like crazy! Of course our usual pals are with us in the studio, Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon, Jar Jar, and we have a plethora of topics to discuss. Just a typical episode of SWGwYaMB!

The highly anticipated pageant is over and Elishen the Rebel Twi'lek was crowned Miss Valcyn 2008! Congratulations Elishen! Sadly, the pageant sponsors wouldn't let MrBubble participate (thank you to Kuat Yards for voting no!). Ever since SOE announced their plans to add voice chat to their games, MrBubble has been just a little worried about how all those lovely "female" entertainers he hangs around are going to sound. Thankfully, a honest to goodness female player left us a voicemail message; it made MrBubble feel a little better. Not a lot of game news this week, but somehow we managed to fill one and a half hours with SWG and SW goodness. It's a gift, and a curse.

MrBubble has had his first taste of gunboat combat, and MrBubble likes! Find out he likes about the latest addition to the game. Our in-game Super Bowl party was a big success and this week we'll give you all the details about the big screen TV, the Bothan baked beans, and the specially equipped restroom for Ithorians (don't ask). It's here! Chapter 8! We have so much to talk about... just not in this episode of the show. Last October the Family Guy aired a special Star Wars episode, Blue Harvest. If you've been listening to our show for a while you might already know this, but Yivvits & MrBubble aren't fans of Family Guy. However, seeing as this episode was about our favorite subject we had to check it out. In fact, we even made a mini-podcast episode out of the whole ordeal, and here it is! Only 3 months late!

Recently while MrBubble was waving his ribbons in the cantina he overheard some people talking about "server merges" and how "dead the server is." We beg to differ! Listen and find out why.
