It's time to revisit our famous battles topic to see if the Joes can come back from their 3-2 defeat... In this episode Paul, Rob and Steve debate GI Joe and Cobra's best hopes for domination in the aquatic and arctic arenas. It is also with great pride that they announce GI Joburg's entry into the world YouTube video reviews.  Do you own an Avalanche snow tank or Shark 9000? Should you? These battles always succeed in getting us fired up about these toys. There's a sneaking suspicion you will be too. Get your Joes. It's payback time.

The fog of Retaliation is lifting and truly spectacular toys are making a return. GI Joburg chimes in with their top three GI Do's and GI Don'ts for the future of their beloved toyline. Paul defends his statue buying and the first hints of GI Joburg's exciting new adventure are dropped. Fly your freak flag high, Joes!

We have bitched about GI Joe's cinematic exploits as much as we dare. For a change, we are offering our two cents on what the ideal GI Joe film should have and even pitch an idea for a screenplay. Listen up to hear what would make at least three members of the fan community very happy Joes.

The title says it all folks. The Eaglehawk has landed. Join the team as they unbox, assemble and share first impressions and comparisons of the venerable helicopter's remake. Should you race off and get one? Should you give it a skip? Only one thing is certain: to do either without listening to this episode is folly!

In this episode the GI Joburg team roll out their top five fantasy picks of characters needing GI Joe action figure treatment. Paul hates on Megan Fox; Steve wants to peel April O'Neil's banana; and Rob has no idea who Jem is... ...not that Jem is in this episode. Why would we do a thing like that? So it came and went. The event GI Joe fandom counted the days til. Twice. GI Joe: Retaliation. After firing off some quick responses in Episode 20, the GI Joburg fellas return with more considered opinions on how they felt about the film. No gaping plot holes are left unpoked. Paul takes a swipe at the current slew of movie toys, Steve takes a swipe at rap music, and Rob is incomprehensible, often. But hey, this marks history as GI Joburg's first episode recorded inside a plane!

Another exciting GI Joe-filled episode, but this time with a twist. Who has the superior vehicles? GI Joe or Cobra? In this episode the team select a handful of Joe vehicles and their Cobra equivalents for a head to head battle of technology, strategy and sheer toy enjoyment. The guys also discuss forthcoming releases including the long awaited reissue of the venerable Tomahawk, the all-new EAGLEHAWK. Yes fans, it's coming and it is beautiful. With the absence of new GI Joe product hitting us all rather hard, the GIJoburg boys return to an earlier time when G.I. Joe toys had disappeared indefinitely. What does the self-respecting fan of the ultimate 3'3/4 inch fighting man do with no new Joes? Throw in the towel? Save some bob? Or do our attentions turn elsewhere? Rob, Paul and Steve do a retrospective on toy collecting post 1994 and draw some comparisons with this current drought. Also in this episode, two new segments dealing with the best the vintage line had to offer. And Steve sucks at remembering lyrics. Bigtime.

For most of us, GI Joe began with the most posable, well-equipped, 3 3/4 inch modern action figures. With swivel-arm battle-grip and snap-on, stay-on accessories, A Real American Hero set the gold standard for action figures for almost three decades with more or less the same basic construction. We all have our favourites and in this episode Paul, Rob and Steve roll off their top fives and also examine how well they have translated into the modern-era. Much talk of purple helmets, crotch shaving and elephant girlfriends ensues.

Most fans agree that the jet aircraft produced in the GI Joe line were the most well-made and enduring toys ever. Listen as three of the premier pieces engage in battle to determine which is truly the best jet. Paul adopts a rather unique debate style, opting to preempt points against his choice, Rob has an axe to grind when it comes to playing with his jets, and Steve takes everything way too seriously.

'Fighting for freedom wherever there's trouble over land and sea and air!' - in this episode Rob, Paul and Steve discuss their favourite GI Joe land, sea and air vehicles. Paul, Rob and Steve also discuss their most burning amendments to the current and vintage toyline - items that would be that much more awesome had only a few minor tweaks been made in development. Rob decides to vent some frustration with 3D film; Paul receives some unexpected goodies from the Canadian Joecon; and Steve makes his case for the POC Blueshirt being the finest army builder ever.
