In the final sermon of this nine week series on Hebrews 11, Pastor Roger walks us through the challenging, sobering, but hope-rooted words of Hebrews 11.32-40. He shows how faith always has outworkings in human history. Sometimes it involves victory; at other times, it requires loss and deprivation. Only faith with Christ as its object can find endurance and courage amidst the losses that are sometimes part of following Jesus. Such faith is not absent of hope. It looks towards ultimate triumph, waiting with expectation for a 'better, heavenly city' (Hebrews 11.16).
