Game/Life Gaiden is a new podcast series from the Game/Life Balance team! We now have a place for any kind of extra episodes we want to record! With AC still out on parental leave, Rob's beautiful and hilarious wife Megan joins the show as our guest host for this week. Our featured game this week is Civilization V, a game Meg and Rob have played a LOT - sometimes together! Also in this episode we probe deep into Meg's well-travelled life story, take a look back over the early years of Disney's feature length animated films, and critique Rob's Hitman technique. Let's take a trip down memory lane with your old (and I mean literally old as in geriatric) pals AC and Rob, as we reminisce on our high school days, schoolyard romances and Rob's desperate attempts to be "cool." Oh boy, it's another superlative episode of your favourite podcast of all time ever please. This time around our feature game is the quirky little puzzle game mash-up, Puyo Puyo Tetris! For our reboot episode, we take some time to explain what the heck happened while we were away, why we changed the name of the podcast, and our international conspiracy with our American pals Cody and Jon. For our Featured Game, we delve into the mysteries of Capcom's Alien vs Predator, while in our Game/Life segment Rob spends 20 minutes complaining about being a dad and then tries to convince AC that he's actually really happy about the whole thing. Plus AC spills the beans on his MAME cabinet, ruining its resale value, and Rob describes his time playing the adorable puzzle-platformer Unravel. Once upon a time, there were two idiots named Rob and AC who somehow could afford the bare minimum equipment to make a podcast.
