Most of us have goals, dreams, aspirations and expectations. But what happens when things don't happen as quickly as we would like them to?

The essential element of Christianity is servant hood - this element is a unique feature of being a Christian.

What is 'Communion'? How is it celebrated? Is it something that is still relevant for ones faith today?

What is water baptism? Why should people be baptized?

If you could picture the church as a table and four chairs. Each chair representing a different aspect of the church First chair - experience chair - weekend services and special services Second chair - encouraging chair - relationships through life groups Third chair - engage and commitment chair - serving in the house Fourth chair - turned outward - washing the feet of our community What does the table represent? It represents our relationship with God. What is the best way to mature in our relationship with God - this message examines the role of devotions in a person's life.

This is more than a message about joining a 'life group' - it explores how the House of God should be a place of relationships that are deep, lasting and vulnerable.

1 Corinthians 12:12 (NLT) - "The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body of Christ. Imagine if you were to do a 5000 word jigsaw puzzle and you came to the end and discovered one piece missing - how would it look? That's what the House of God looks like when we decide not to use our gifts - there are pieces missing. The church is a venue for our gifts yet in a society where we are commitment phobic and highly mobile - the church needs people to discover where they fit. In turn there is nothing like discovering where you fit and also discovering what role you play in seeing the church really becoming the hope of the world.

Homelessness in every city is a huge problem - so it is in a spiritual sense as well. People need to discover that the church is more than a House of God it is a home for themselves, their friends and their families.

How does your relationship with Jesus impact your character?

Faith is one of the foundational characteristics that impact our walk with God. Explore how many of the Biblical characters responded in faith to life's challenges.

Loyalty is a characteristic that is longed for in all relationships. A loyal bond can last forever. So what attributes do we look for in a person's life that shows they are loyal? What do we need to add to our life to enhance this characteristic?

Most of us think creativity is for 'arty' types but God has shown us that creativity is for everyone. God created the heavens and the earth and He created us in His image. Therefore every single one of us has creative potential!

When I start my computer it is Ctrl/Alt/Delete - same when I have trouble? I do it naturally when anything goes wrong with the computer. I wonder if prayer comes as naturally yet of all the influences prayer is the most influential still with God. Jesus heals the demon possessed boy - the disciples couldn't - why not? Jesus suggests the answer is prayer. What is prayer really and how does it influence God?

Influence through your life story Jesus heals the blind man - he is questioned by everyone abut what has happened. He cannot tell them the theological reasons for his healing, he is not experienced in debating nor is he very confident - what if he makes a mistake in how he tells people of what happened? He says, "BUT I know this - I was blind but now I can see!" Everyone has a story of what God has done for them - BUT can you tell it?

I KNOW - LET'S PARTY Influence through relationships The character Matthew comes into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ - how does he introduce his friends to Jesus? He holds a party - he invites his friends - those he has relationship with. All of us could do the same couldn't we?

THE SUPERNATURAL AND YOU Influence through the exercise of the Spiritual Gifts The character Daniel - he influenced the rulers of a Kingdom through his supernatural ability to interpret dreams. So what about you and I - does God give us a similar spiritual ability that when used with integrity will cause people to be drawn towards God?
