Jesus is the Good Shepherd of our lives. He has called His followers to be shepherds under Him and to teach and care for others using God’s Word. We however are called to do with sacrificial love and in the power of the Holy Spirit.

So often when we think of the Gospel, we think immediately of Jesus on the cross for our sins. This is a key part of the Gospel, but what is too often forgotten is that the Gospel begins far before that... the Gospel begins when Jesus begins his ministry. What we see over and over is that the Heart of Jesus to be our shepherd- to lead and care for us and guide us in the way of everlasting.
