  • NFL Preseason Week 2 Preview - 8/18/16

    18/08/2016 Duración: 01h26min

It's the NFL Preseason, Week 2.  PodVader along with SuperFans, Neil (Redskins), Patrick (Patriots) and James (Texans), are here to preview what you can expect. Or more appropriately, what you should be watching for.  While the team starts off talking about the Eagles at the Steelers, this leads to a conversation about the letter sent to the NFLPA regarding players (James Harrison, Clay Matthews, Julius Peppers among them) lack of cooperation into an investigation of the Al Jazeera America report that these players used PEDs.  It was all fun and games when the Commish went after Tom Brady and his balls, but now Steeler and Packer fans are getting to know what it's like when one man has absolute power to do whatever he wants - because it was negotiated in the CBA.  Patrick has a few kind words about that. Then it's back to the previews and we discuss the fall of Colin Kaepernick and investigate if Jerry Jones qualifies for the Hall of Fame. Friday game previews start around 43:20.  Saturday game previews aroun

  • Patriots Training Camp Observations - 8/9/16

    09/08/2016 Duración: 12min

A tradition like no other - PodVader and son's annual visit to the New England Patriots training camp. This is the 7th straight year they've made the trek to Foxboro to watch their favorite team practice. Yes, we're talking about practice. This is the first time they've enjoyed a joint practice though as the Patriots worked with the New Orleans Saints. Pod and his son, SodaPop, share their observations and a couple of guys Pod is recommending for fantasy football.

  • Deep Fantasy Sleepers on Your Favorite Team - 8/8/16

    08/08/2016 Duración: 01h13min

Nick (Chiefs) is joined by Monty (Raiders) and Robert (Bills) to talk about deep fantasy sleepers across the league -- guys that would be great to stash in a dynasty league and even in redraft might give you a high upside guy to root for off of your own team. They also discuss the latest injury and contract news around the NFL as well as the uncertain depth on the Bills at both linebacker and wide receiver.

  • Mark Madorin of Stadiums USA on HOF Stadium, L.A., Las Vegas - 8/4/16

    05/08/2016 Duración: 01h31min

Another exciting edition of the podcast featuring PodVader along with Greg (Steelers), Neil (Redskins) and Justin (Seahawks). Today the guys talk about Nick Foles becoming a Chief. What happened with the Cowboys there?  Leon Hall signs with the Giants - nice secondary in New York. Navarro Bowman and Tyrann Mathieu get contract extensions - get that money man. Ezekiel Elliott dealing with a hamstring - Cowboys look like a mess this offseason, but Texas still thinks they have the best chance to win the Super Bowl. Mark Madorin, President of Stadiums USA (StadiumsUSA.com) is the special guest this week. Mark talks about the improvements coming to the Pro Football Hall of Fame which should make Dayton, OH a true vacation destination and more than just on HOF Weekend. New stadium up in Minnesota and it's a lovely place - maybe the jewel of the NFL. That is until the Los Angeles stadium is built. And what about plans in Las Vegas? The SuperFans then share their thoughts on the Class of 2016. PodVader thinks there ar

Nick (Chiefs) is joined by Neil (Redskins), Justin (Seahawks) and Don (Ravens) to talk about the first rash of training camp injuries and contracts, while discussing the floors and ceilings of every team in the NFC. Are these schmos way too low on your team or too high on your rival? Tune in to find out!

  • Christopher Harris On All Things Fantasy! - 7/29/16

    29/07/2016 Duración: 01h17min

PodVader and SuperFans Greg (Steelers), Neil (Washington), and Justin (Seahawks) discuss another week of NFL news. Ryan Fitzpatrick finally came to an agreement with the New York Jets. Still less than some of the younger guys got this year but looks to be the same strategy the Redskins are employing with Kirk Cousins. No matter what, Pod doesn't like the Jets first half of the schedule and doesn't think Fitzpatrick will make much of a difference. Christopher Harris of HarrisFootball.com drops by to talk about Fantasy Football, his philosophies and rankings. They get into talking about the proper way to evaluate and project players for fantasy football which leads to a conversation about the Vikings. They also make a bet (did they make a bet?) involving the Jets (both Chris and Pod are big Patriot fans). Chris answers a few listener questions from nextfanup@gmail.com and @nfupodcast on Twitter. The SuperFans return to discuss Josh Gordon's reinstatement. Both Greg and Pod have a stick in their craw with this d

  • Warren Sharp Football Analysis and more! - 7/21/16

    21/07/2016 Duración: 01h21min

PodVader and the SuperFans - Greg (Steelers), Justin (Seahawks) and Don (Ravens) - react to another week of NFL news. They begin the show by responding to an email sent to nextfanup@gmail.com. Jared thinks there are too many Aaron Rodger haters on the show. Next up, Pod talks to Warren Sharp of SharpFootballAnalysis.com. Warren has produced a book previewing the upcoming 2016 season, full of visual stats and such. Warren dives in explaining why certain teams need to develop better playcalling and illustrates that with the statistics he's found. Plus, is there any hope for Cleveland fans (beyond basketball that is)?Pod and the SuperFans run through the latest news in the NFL including the Steelers cutting a tight end, Josh Gordon applying for reinstatement, Eugene Monroe and Peanut Tillman announce their retirements and Ezekial Elliott leads the league in jersey sales. That segways into a conversation about fantasy football. Another edition of the podcast! (Pod is working on getting a word of the day calendar to get some better adjectives for the show...)PodVader is joined by Neil (Redskins) and James (Texans) to talk about the latest news in the NFL. They start by sharing their thoughts on the Franchise tendered players. Who's going to sign a "Deal or No Deal?" Nick (Chiefs) shares his thoughts on Eric Berry and Tom (Bears) has an opinion on Alshon Jeffery. Next up, Ball-ghazi, Deflategate, Ben Affleck's bane of existance - call it what you want but Tom Brady won't have an en banc hearing and looks like he'll be serving a suspension. But the ruling has much more far reaching implications for the NFL and the US for that matter. We've posted our SuperFans' Chat on our Facebook page (facebook.com/nfupodcast). Jason Fitz is a member of The Band Perry and host of The Jason Fitz show. He shares his opinions about Tom Brady and the Patriots. Fitz is a big Raiders fan so he shares his top Raiders of all time and the expectations for the

  • NFC North 2016 Division Preview - 7/03/16

    03/07/2016 Duración: 01h19min

The NFC North or Davey wasn't here. Andrew (Jets) leads the SuperFans of the NFC North on their roundtable discussion about the upcoming season as it pertains to their division. Brian (Packers), Tom (Bears) and Will (Lions) were all present. Davey (Vikings) wasn't there to defend his team. But first - James (Texans) presents the Game of Thrones comparisons and it's only fitting that the King of the North makes an appearance in this division. After the nonsense, the football talk starts with a discussion of the all division team which features more Packers than any other team. At the end, PodVader didn't agree with the SuperFans on their assessment of their teams. He's higher on the Bears and lower on the Vikings (his hate knows no bounds).  What do you think though?
