The big story unfolds on Real Racin USA of the joining of forces with Patrick Sheltra and Shannon Babb. The two share the spotlight on Dirt World with Joe Dirt and Billy the Kid. Dirt Late Model ace Shannon Babb has turned his focus to owning and operating his own team in 2009. The 34-year-old Moweaqua, Illinois native has driven for various car owners over the past decade, so the switch to car ownership will be a daunting task. However, the transition was made easier today with the announcement that Shannon Babb Racing has joined forces with Sheltra Motorsports for the 2009 season. Patrick Sheltra heads to Daytona International Speedway on February 7, 2009 looking to capture his first ARCA RE/MAX Series victory in the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona. The event will be telecasted live on SPEED at 4:00 p.m. Eastern. Babb will participate in Speedweeks events at Volusia Speedway Park beginning in February.
