In our last episode, Erik made the case that the Comets needed a full six points from these two games. (It did not happen). After taking a 4-1 lead in St. Louis, the Ambush came back and tied it up with less than a second left. The Comets lost in overtime but at least earned another point on the road. Some fans expressed a certain level of discontent that Coach Gibson did not take a full-strength squad across the state. We discuss that travel roster, which players played well there, and more. We had a strange week around here at The Blue Testament. Vox Media announced that MLS sites will no longer be "supported" by SB Nation. We don't have much info to offer an update at the moment, but we really appreciate all the support that has come our way and we want everyone to know this won't stop us! The first images have been coming in from Arizona and things are heating up as in the season inches closer. Sporting KC added Tim Leibold & Danny Flores, but there are still two roster spots available. Are there more signings on the way? Are you saying Lee-bold or Lie-bold? The Kansas City Current landed THE biggest free agent in the first-ever NWSL free agent class. Brazilian International Debinha will be with the Current through 2024 with an option for 2025. Thad Bell from the Blue Testament and Daniel Sperry from the KC Star break down what this means for the Current.
