Today I want to talk to you about the transforming power of God that is unlocked through meditating on it. Joshua 1:8 (NKJV), "This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall MEDITATE in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

Today I want to talk to you about Transformation through Grace. The Word of God works in us to conform us more and more into the image of the son. The Word of God is a seed, packed with purpose, power, and principle. When it catches life in our heart, boom, stuff happens. The Word came to Samson's mom she would conceive a son. Boom, she does and the fruit of this son was freedom from the Philistines. You see, the Word works to free you, to free others. The Word comes to Mary in Luke 1:30-31 (KJV), But the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found GRACE with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus." Look at the defining characteristic of the womb that would germinate the seed planted.

"How I long to be with you so that I might impart some spiritual gift to you..." (Romans 1:11) - something magical happens in the gathering, something God designed to be a routine, once a week, a place you would come. Ezekiel 46:9-10 (KJV) "But when the people of the land shall come before the LORD in the solemn feasts, he that entereth in by the way of the north gate to worship shall go out by the way of the south gate; and he that entereth by the way of the south gate shall go forth by the way of the north gate: he shall not return by the way of the gate whereby he came in, but shall go forth over against it. And the prince in the midst of them, when they go in, shall go in; and when they go forth, shall go forth." It’s a picture of the transforming house of God. God forbid them to leave the same way they came in.

You can NEVER outgive God. Everything we have is because of God. Giving opens your hand to a hand that will not be outgiven!

Today I want to take you to a very familiar passage of the Bible and draw out something you maybe haven’t seen before. My prayer is that those things that Christ has declared over us would be released into our world. You really do have what everyone else needs, it is in you. There is a problem in our world, it is decaying. Our nation, our communities, our cities, there is a battle happening for the soul of this city, and each one of us is the solution. Do you know how God takes the city? One heart at a time. Do you know what Christ is to our city? Healing, wholeness. He is the answer. And you, my friend, are the delivery system. Matthew 5:13 (NIV) "You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot."

Psalms 112:2-3 (NASB) "... the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house." Blessed is an ability, it is authority, and it is estate. God said, "I will bless you in the land I am giving you." Last week we discussed that the church is the mountain, the land on which God plants you where Jesus proclaims the land that is yours, the promises. He states your estate. God is flourishing you, increasing you, making you fruitful in the land He has given you. And so you let our Lord plant you on the mountain. Here you are, and he says the inheritance is in the saints, so where is it? Most people are looking out here when everything they need is already in their HOUSE. We have everything we need for life and godliness. My goal is to see you find the treasure that God has already given you, that in 2018 you will release more of Christ into your world by pulling off the lid and letting out more of what is in yo

Today I want to talk to you about your estate. Genesis 12:1-3 (NIV) The LORD had said to Abram, "Go from your country, your people and your father's household to the land I will show you..." In Genesis 1:28 (NIV) "and God blessed them..." and then He assigned them to the Garden of Eden. To the Israelites He gave the inheritance, the promised land! The blessing comes with an estate, place to dwell, home sweet home. The problem is many Christians are sojourning, journeying, wandering through another desert. God said "I will bless you in the land I’m giving you" - but if you can’t find your estate you might be standing outside the Garden of Eden. Outside of the garden the blessing vanished into thin air. We are building someone else's pyramids, slaves in the land we were born into, unaware of the estate that is already ours. In Joshua 18:1 Joshua asks 7 tribes of Israel, "When will you finally go get the land the Lord has given you?"

God’s original intent was for man to be blessed. As we read Genesis 1:28 we see that the blessing is made up of three major components: Ability, Authority, and Estate. Consider how Jesus used the ability of the blessing when He had a need. Matthew 14:19 says, "Then He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass. And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke and gave the loaves to the disciples; and the disciples gave to the multitudes." He looked up to heaven knowing He was operating through the authority of God, pulling that power. He used the blessing's ability to increase the need by speaking it with his mouth, and then sent it to its location, the gathering, and we will discuss this next week as the estate. But today we talk about authority and your mouth. When Jesus has a need he blesses it. When people have a need they curse it.” And so we don’t get Jesus results! Today we a

God’s first intention with man was to bless him. His intention with Abraham was to bless "all peoples through you." His intention with Christ was, "He redeemed us in order that the blessing given Abraham might come to the Gentiles by faith." The blessing given mankind in Genesis 1:28 can be broken into three parts: Ability, Authority, Estate. Over the next three weeks we will see how to get these working in your life. There are three gears in the blessing. Here's the problem... if one gear isn't working the other two won't matter, and as such famine, lack, work and thorns and thistles.

My goal in this series will be to reveal and uproot those things that hinder us from receiving the blessing Christ has already made available. The Lord told me as I set out and said to Him, “Lord, for us, those planted at Living Word, what do we need to hear? What do you say to us, or what can I say?" He said “For them to experience the blessings they have not yet experienced they must go in the word somewhere they have never been. And you.”

At the time of the birth of Christ there is a lot of talk of following and being followed. Zechariah is following Gabriel’s instructions, Joseph and Mary are following a decree for a census all the way to Bethlehem, shepherds are following angels’ words, and wise men are following a star. Jesus said if anyone would come after me he must deny himself, take up his cross and follow me. We are all following someone, and we are all being followed. Jesus had 12 followers, I have zero twitter followers. When deciding who I follow I should ask myself, “Do I want to go where they are?” When looking at who is following you, I must ask, “Am I going where I want them to go?”

I want to talk to you today about a meeting with Jesus. In Genesis 14 Melchizedek, king of Salem and priest of God Most High, meets with Abraham. Melchizedek is a picture of Christ, our High Priest. When he meets with Abraham he has three things on his agenda. Jesus is with you all the time, but there are times you have a meeting. Jesus has an agenda when He meets with you.

Today I want to talk to you about taking our family back, whether it’s your marriage, your children, your relationship with your parents, or your extended family. God wants to bring peace to those areas in your life. Jesus has done a great work to do that. When we talk about Manger Things – the name of this series – we see the picture of the manger scene. We see Joseph and Mary and the baby Jesus. There’s this coming together, the idea of Christmas – families begin to gather together. Jesus is a gatherer and He cares deeply about you and your family. When we celebrate this time of the birth of our Savior we see families coming in from all over the place. They fly braving expensive flights or expensive fuel on long drives. I want to talk about God’s desire to bring family together and have peace in your family.

We can come out of hard experiences with baggage, battered, or battle hardened, stronger than before. Today you can walk out of church stronger than before. God didn’t do it, but he got you through it.

Is God in control of everything that happens? What is God's response to sin? Portions of your life may be rendered powerless simply because of your ignorance of the covenant you have with God. David said, "Who is this uncircumcised Philistine?" Knowing your covenant is power. The old covenant had no cross, no Christ. But so many continue to define God's nature by the old covenant. Your nature is in the image of God's nature, we fail because we don't know who we are, we don't know who we are because you have a wrong image of God, in whose image you were made. When I say words of judgment, wrath and punishment, I misalign myself from God.

Today I want to tell you that not everything that is happening is God's will, is from God. So how will He accomplish His will? If He isn't doing everything, or in complete control, then how will He get done what He wants? The secret is hidden in this simple phrase, "Not my will but thy will be done." I can stop God's will in my life. God needs you, built you, has established you, empowered you, chose you. But we will not do what He desires if we do not understand HIS nature, what He wants. If we believe everything that is happening is from God we neglect the scripture. Isaiah 54:14-15 (NIV) “In righteousness you will be established, Tyranny will be far from you, you will have nothing to fear, terror will be far removed. If anyone does attack you, I didn't do it." Or again Isaiah 54:10 (NIV) “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,"

Many Christians believe that everything that happens is from God, God did it, that everything that happens is part of God's master plan, and when something horrible happens, maybe we just don't understand what God is doing. It is reasonable for a man to say, "If there is God then He must be in complete control of everything that is happening.” Then because we see injustice in the world, hurting, hungry and death, they reject a God who doesn't seem to know how to run things. When Little Timmy was eight he was told that God took his mom. Well, God has afflicted to teach me. Now there are attacks, but are they coming from God? Sometimes or never?

Today I want to start off in Isaiah 60:1, “Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you.” It's a call to action for the church, a resource given and a result. The call, get up and light it up, cuz I gave you light, and the result, the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. In the moment we rise and shine, in that moment the glory is attached, it rises - comes with the new covenant. It is the substance of hope - the farmer doesn't have rain, but he sees the cloud, he knows it's a done deal. This cloud has risen over you!

Today I want to talk to you about putting God's goodness on display - saying and doing His goodness. We will start by taking a deep, long look at the glory of God and how an understanding of this glory is going to impact your daily life. Exodus 24:16, “Now the glory of the LORD rested on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days. And on the seventh day He called to Moses out of the midst of the CLOUD…” Glory is kind of a mystical, misunderstood mystery. What is it? When does it fall? "GLORY" - it seems like some random far away, I don't want to really think about it, or does it even matter? But it isn't random, far away, unattainable, and it is viable, seeable reachable and powerful, and it is going to impact you exactly where you live, in your job, in your marriage, in your business, with your family, in your world. Moses said to God, "Show me your glory.” You see, it's just not that far away or unattainable. What do we know a
