Thanksgiving is the language of Faith. It is also the "gate" by which we enter God's Presence.

In 2 Timothy, Paul urges Timothy to guard the treasure that has been entrusted to him. We each also have treasures entrusted to us that need to be guarded. In chapter 2 of 2 Timothy, Paul exhorts Timothy to be strengthened in the Grace of Christ Jesus. Paul says he need the strength of a soldier, of an athlete, and of a farmer.

Old and New followers of Jesus alike have all been entrusted with a treasure we are called to nurture and guard. We guard the treasure by passing it on.

Believe in Jesus and he responds beyond what we can imagine.

Ordinary followers of Jesus can make a Real Impact in the world when they enter into loving relationship with God and each other. We'll here stories of Grace Vineyard's recent missions trip to Zambia, Africa.

The scriptures are replete with exhortations to share the Gospel of the Kingdom in word and deed, just like farmers must continually plant seeds if they are to reap a harvest. We are exhorted, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." (Galatians 6:9)

Followers of Jesus are called to a lifetime of spiritual growth, and the context for that spiritual growth is in the community of other followers of Jesus. We experience the transforming power of God's Grace together.

Followers of Jesus have much more than a set of religious beliefs. Together we experience real, relational, life changing encounters with the Glory and Goodness of God. Jesus promised quite simply, "For where two or three gather together as my followers, I am there among them." (Matthew 18:20)

Jesus taught the disciples a model prayer that is often called "The Lord's Prayer". Each phrase of this model prayer is loaded with meaning that will empower our everyday prayer life.
