Grace Talks: Grace Vineyard / Coastal Oceanside

Jesus sends his apprentices out with instructions to proclaim the Kingdom of God is near and to do the works of His Kingdom, healing the sick, binding up broken hearts, casting out demons, etc. The Holy Spirit gives us spiritual tools/gifts to do the works of the Kingdom.

When Jesus launched his ministry with the words, "The time is now. The Kingdom of God has come. Repent and believe the good news," He revealed a radical new reality: in Him the powers and life of the future age are available now to all who will put their faith in Him.                     

Jesus began His ministry with the announcement that the Kingdom of God is now at hand. The inbreaking of God's Kingdom changes everything.  In this 2nd part of the series we learn about Power and Authority in God's Kingdom.

Jesus is the King of God's Kingdom. He inaugurated the Kingdom of God so we can taste of its goodness and power now before the end of the world comes when He returns and establishes God's Kingdom in all its fullness.

In 2 Timothy, Paul urges Timothy to guard the treasure that has been entrusted to him. We each also have treasures entrusted to us that need to be guarded. In chapter 2 of 2 Timothy, Paul exhorts Timothy to be strengthened in the Grace of Christ Jesus. Paul says he need the strength of a soldier, of an athlete, and of a farmer.

Old and New followers of Jesus alike have all been entrusted with a treasure we are called to nurture and guard. We guard the treasure by passing it on.

Believe in Jesus and he responds beyond what we can imagine.
