But no day was ever more "backward" than the day Jesus was betrayed. What appeared to be a tragedy-the betrayal in the Garden of Gethsemane and the events that followed-was actually part of God's sovereign plan to rescue sinners and restore creation.

In the beginning...

"Failures, Faithfulness, and the Power to Change." Epic failures. We've all experienced them. In Matthew 26 the stage is set for those closest to Jesus to epically fail Him. But the good news is that Jesus is always faithful and ready to provide grace to forgive and power to transform our lives.

In the final hours of Jesus' life, He transforms the meaning of the Passover meal, moving from an old covenant based on law to a new covenant rooted in grace. This change signifies a profound shift in our relationship with God, where the focus is no longer on outward obedience but on the transformation of the heart through faith in Jesus. The symbols of the bread and wine during the Lord’s Supper represent Jesus' body and blood, emphasizing His sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins and the establishment of a covenant accessible to all humanity. As believers, we are called to remember and celebrate this new covenant until Christ's return, recognizing that true transformation comes from trusting in Him rather than our own efforts.
