There's a type of person who struggles with being an entrepreneur. It's the person who is scared to fail. I was filling out a form to be a chaperone for the eighth grade field trip, and they asked what i thought were the top three characteristics of a chaperone. The number one I listed was flexibility. A lot of times we wake up with the best of intentions, but sometimes life happens. And when life happens, you need to flex. I'm waiting for my friend Jamal for breakfast. We met in 2017 at a conference. We were in similar businesses, but he showed me some great tweaks I could make to my business. That's when we started doing 5-day challenges. When you're at an event, sit with someone you don't know. Go outside your comfort zone. That's where the growth happens.

When I travel after an event, I get out my journal and review my notes and write down action items. I also look at the business cards I've gathered and I follow up with them within 24 hours.
