Inspired by Sarah Nell’s post on #dataliteracy, we open the topic up for #communityconversations. Thanks to Mark Kernke, Fi Gordon, Sarah Bartlett, and Milad Toliyati for joining in on the conversation. Milad shared that according to one survey, 80% of the world is literate, while only 20% of the world is data literate. “Data literacy is the ability to read, understand, create and communicate data as information.” Haven’t we been doing this? We had the great pleasure to talk to Tableau CMO Elissa Fink. The F-Dawg took time off from conference to talk about the event, what she has been up to, drop the odd f-bomb or two, and reveal the location of tc18.

It's our regular catchup with Tableau CPO Francois, the man who needs no surname. We talked product releases and how Tableau plan to update the software in the future and his conference highlights.

We finished off #data17 by talking to Marcelo Guerra Hahn about the new enterprise features shown in devs on stage and of course cows.

We were lucky to have Adam Selipsky take a break from a busy #data17 conference to talk about his year as CEO, the difference between this and his first conference, and how to address diversity in tech.
