Knowing our identity as IN CHRIST is essential to loving a life of joy and of power! Paul tells us that we have "redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of God's grace". Redemption is such a beautiful word! It means to buy back... to release from captivity... to rescue... It's so meaningful when you consider it in light of Genesis 3:10 where Adam responds to God... "I was afraid, because I was naked, so I hid". In one act of rebellion against God, FEAR, GUILT and SHAME became part of the human condition. But Redemption which both a present reality and a future hope reminds us that all that was lost and all that is broken will be restored one day!

This is part one of a new study called LIVE LIFE LOVED! It comes from an amazing question I received from one of our listeners. "What are some practices to help my "unbelief"? The hardest part is living like I'm loved...."Ephesians 5:1 says, "Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.” Notice that we don't imitate God to be loved by God... it starts with the reality that we are already loved! We then strive to look like Jesus, FROM His love not FOR His love. There's a world of difference! Today, we lay a foundation by comparing a TOURIST with an EXPLORER. Corrie Ten Boom said, "God takes our sin - the past, present and future and dumps them into the sea and puts up a sign that says, "NO FISHING". Maybe instead of JUST inviting Jesus into our lives, we need to recognize that Jesus is inviting us into His life! 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.Romans 8:1 there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. Colossians 1:13-14. “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.”
