As we approach Holy Week and Good Friday, we are reminded that our participation with Christ in His death makes possible His life lived through us.

Glenn has pastored Nazarene churches for 20 years, including ministering in Mexico. Now he serves with the Voice Volunteer Network for Voice of the Martyrs.

Our response to the grace of God that saves and sanctifies us from our sin is to continuously respond and live by faith in Him.

While we are saved from our sins when we seek forgiveness, there is a second equally necessary work that God desires to bring about in our lives that is required if we are to rise above sin.

Since the beginning of time people have called out to God to save them from their troubles, distress, calamities, and sin… and He continues to deliver.

Just as a key unlocks a door, repentance is the “key” that brings the forgiveness of God we desperately need and begins to unlock the grip that sin has on each of us.

When sin entered the world, not only has it separated humankind from God, but it continues to be the source of animosity and hostility between one another.

This series is set to explore how the power of Christ is continuously at work in conquering the sin that has so saturated the world, beginning with redeeming creation itself and all creatures big and small.

Lori is the youth leader here at Springfield Church and also has her District license through the Nazarene Church. We are blessed to have her share God’s Word with us on this last Sunday of the year.

Since the beginning of humanity people have asked the "gods" what they can do for them. But in the Incarnation, God comes to us in Jesus and asks, "What do you want me to do for you?"

As we were horrifically reminded this week, a chance encounter with the wrong person leads to death. But a divine encounter with Jesus of Nazareth brings miracles and life.

We read in the Gospel accounts of how the heart of Jesus not only went out to those who were in need of a miracle, but how His heart still goes out to those in need even today.

It is truly remarkable what can happen when Jesus shows up, both in Biblical times as well as today, and accomplishes exactly what we need that only He can bring to pass.

As we anticipate the season of Advent 2012, we will look at several of the miracles of Jesus, because miracles were not just for Biblical times, they are for today!

Julie was a student in Pastor John Hanna's Practicing Wesleyan-Holiness Spiritual Formation class through Nazarene Bible College earlier this year and has a remarkable testimony of God’s amazing work of deliverance and recovery in her life. Her passion is to encourage believers to recognize and mobilize their unique personal gifts for the glory of God’s kingdom as well as building relationships with women in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. If the leadership of Christ in our life is determined by our obedient and faithful followership, we can confidently call others to follow us.

In our innate desire to be led and guided by someone who knows where they are leading us, we can trust Jesus who will gently lead us with sacrificial courage.

In a political climate with heated and opinionated debates about who our national leader should be, we affirm that only the Lord is our trustworthy leader/shepherd.

We conclude this series by talking about the significance of being dressed in Christ Jesus and how when we find our life in Him, His life is found in us.

Our sin and shame reveals our utter nakedness and vulnerabilities before God and others. God’s grace covers our inequities that we might find redemption in Christ.
