1 Corinthians 10:23-11:1 The Gospel is more important than my personal freedom or desires. Paul reminds us that it is more important to consider our neighbors, God's glory, and the salvation of the lost, than it is to have our personal preferences met.

1 Corinthians 10:1-22 Continuing his discussion from Chapter 8, Paul calls the Corinthians to flee idolatry in light of the eternal God, namely Jesus Christ.

1 Cor. 9:19-27 Paul discusses three necessary characteristics of a believer leading an "Upstream" life, in order to impact our culture for Christ.

1 Cor. 9:1-18 - Paul makes it clear that he is in the right to work for the Lord and be compensated but his desire is to "preach the gospel and offer the gospel without charge".

1 Cor. 8:1-13 - Knowledge puffs up - Love builds up! As we live in an increasingly contray culture, we must keep the most important matters first. 1 Cor. 7:17-40 - We will never find joy in life as long as we are looking for the "next thing". We must find joy and peace where we are in our walk with the Lord before we are ready for the next step. This is part of the series UPSTREAM - Marriage and Morality in a Contrary Culture.

1 Cor. 7:10-16 Paul stresses the importance of the God designed family unity. He strongly encourages believers to work on their marriages and not give in to divorce. This is part of the series UPSTREAM - Marriage and Morality in a Contrary Culture.

1 Cor. 7:1-9 The marriage union is the only appropriate place for the fulfillment of God-give sexual desires. Paul encourages the husband and wife to seek to meet the others needs as they work to become one. This is part of the series UPSTREAM - Marriage and Morality in a Contrary Culture.

1 Cor. 5:1-13 - God takes sin seriously and He expects His people to as well. In 1 Cor 5-7, the apostle Paul addresses specific issues of immorality that were plaguing the church at Corinth. This is part of the series UPSTREAM - Marriage and Morality in a Contrary Culture.

1 Cor. 4:1-7 -In a culture that values fame and flashiness, God still values faithfulness. He is a faithful and He expects His people to be faithful as well. This is part of the series UPSTREAM - Living as Christ in a Contrary Culture.

1 Cor. 3:10-23 - Jesus is the only foundation upon which a christian's life can be built. With Him as our foundation, we have eternal security and a something solid to build upon. This is part of the series UPSTREAM - Living as Christ in a Contrary Culture.

1 Cor. 3:1-9 - All who put their faith in Christ are complete in Him.. However, many refuse to grow in faith and remain immature. Paul encourages the church to "grow up". This is part of the series UPSTREAM - Living as Christ in a Contrary Culture.

1 Cor. 2:1-16 - The wisdom of God is only available to those who have His Spirit. To understand the depths of man and the wisdom of God, one must be filled with the Spirit of God. This is part of the series UPSTREAM - Living as Christ in a Contrary Culture.

1 Cor. 1:18-31 - The message of the cross is a stumbling block for the religious and foolishness for the secularist. However, it is the message of hope and salvation for those who believe. This is part of the series UPSTREAM - Living as Christ in a Contrary Culture.
